Kyle Wurtzel's competitive racing career began in 2006 when he started racing a nostalgia nitro funny car. Kyle's car was the second in the Midwest to break the five second barrier. At the time, only a few cars in the United States had achieved that ET. Kyle spent 5 plus years at well known nostalgia events serving as a crew chief, owner, driver, and working in car maintenance.

In 2010, Kyle decided to move up to top fuel racing. With the help of Bruce Litton, Kyle was able to get licensed and run the car at a few match races his first year out.

Kyle has partnered with Bruce Litton, Mike Wolfarth, and Bobby Lagana in maintenance and overall guidelines of the car. With the success and professionalism that is Bruce Litton Racing and Lagana Racing, this unique partnership will be strong and ready to hold its own with the best of top fuel racing.

Kyle would like to especially thank his wife, Julia Porter, Mike Wolfarth, Bruce Litton, Bobby and Dom Lagana,  Phil Stuart, Kurtis Ruszkowski, Jimmy Walsh, Brett Konken, Jeff Konken, Randy Heintzelman, Tony Biffer, and his family and friends who have supported him as he has progressed through his racing career.
